Throughout her academic studies, Lisa practiced as a live-in child and youth worker supporting adolescents while they emancipated and emerged from the child welfare system. She also worked in the automotive industry, mostly welding, and studying her eventual trade.

Her research has focussed on “ Building therapeutic relationships through sports recreation” and the development of a DBT-Informed Parenting Skills Group.

Lisa was clinically supervised as a masters student at SickKids Hospital and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, and later practiced in both settings as a Child and Family Therapist for several years.

Lisa’s Catalyst to her full-time private practice was becoming a mother herself.
